Ford Focus III Instrument Cluster Remanufacture

For years, the Focus has been one of Ford's proverbial cash cows. After its introduction in 1998, this hatchback immediately turned out to be a big sales hit: At its peak in 2001, no less than 543,378 cars were sold to the European consumer.

Let's start with the good news on this Ford Focus III instrument cluster: the error code U1900 problem has been solved! However, several other issues haven't been fixed. An overview:

• Center display no longer turns on / shows no data
• Middle display flashes
• One or more LED lights do not work, usually the LED of the rear fog light, left indicator, the ABS or the tank
• ABS / ESP LEDs light up dimly as soon as the outside temperature falls below 3°C
• Backlight of temperature gauge cuts out
• Instrument cluster cuts out in extreme heat or extreme cold
• Failure complaints
• One of the gauges are faulty
